The Campfire / Opera Chicken

I've been thinking about this name for a long time. Branding that stands out is usually a good thing, and though I don't know what I'm going to do with it I registered www.operchicken.com 

There's so many ideas that have rolled thru my head about this. Opera Chicken Productions, Opera Chicken Studios, An opera Chicken Animation Studio Film. Oh the possibilities.

I've been wondering if instead id SeimEffects.com for my image effects I should use Opera Chicken Effects. Why? Because it's different, and also because I can make an opera chicken sound

Sites, Brand & Marketing / I've got an idea. What do you think?

Normally when I'm ready to try something new on the site I just go for it, but I thought I would see what you all thought.

You know about my new effects site (www.seimdesign.com) that includes a blog where I talked about effects things, and also the Seim Effects store where I'll be selling my up and coming products. templates and who know what else that will make like easier.

Here's what I was thinking however since I'm always working on new effects, ideas and things. I was considering having a premium membership to the Seim Effects site. Everyone could still go to the site, and but actions n things, but those who were members would see posts that contains premium content. Things like lightroom presets, actions, videos on workflow, and software use etc.

See I make things all the time, and not nearly all of it makes it to a commercial pack like I'm about to launch. Members would get all kinds of little tidbits. Plus they would get a significant discount on products from the seim store. Maybe 25-35%

This would note tale away from pro photo show itself, but rather be an extension for digital geeks that want a more regular flow of goodies. I was thinking it would be around 15-20.00 a year for a premium membership, and that would give the free downloads, as well a a store discount.

So what do you think? am I crazy, or is this brilliant. I understand I can't give everything away, and I know if I make a bit of money on some of the things I produce that I'll be able to move things forward for everyone.

Last side note. DO you like the title of Seim Effects for this area of the site, or is there something better in your opinion?

Workflow & Software / Seim Effects! Actions & More

Ok we've talked about these in the past. I'm nearly there, and I hope by the next episode to be launching my first special effects action set. Including titles like Xtreme B&W, Old fashion Love Song, and more. How'm I doing on names???

I plan on bundling it with a video so that even those who are not action geeks can jump right in. It will probably include 10-25 effects, and cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 25.00.

I', planning on getting a site going with various things like actions, presets, templates etc. I think you guys will like these effects, so the action are what I'll start off with.

I plan on calling the Seim Effects, and since there going to be little goodies you can get for you photo's that don't cost all that much I made up the slogan. "
Creative bites that won't eat your wallet"

I know it's kinda cheesy but I like to have fun with it. Maybe I could even have one of my voices that said the slogan

The Campfire / My New Car

Got a 2003 Pontiac Grand AM GT1 with 30th anniversary package. I'm really loving this thing. Cost me 10,000 instead of the twenty that I would have spent on a Mitsubishi lancer I was looking at. The gold color seems a bit wild at first, but looks so flashy and it really grew on me. Only had 55000 miles, and the whole thing is pretty much perfect.

I did a mini photo shoot with it tonight. Heres a couple shots... P.S. word has it it tops out at about 120mph

Pro Photo Show & Beyond / PPS Site Issues. Help us out Windows users!

I'm getting various reports that the PPS main page (www.prophotoshow.net/blog) is not showing correctly in IE. It's working fine in Firefox, and safari, but some people are having troubles on the IE side.

If those of you on PC can let me know if everything OK or not, and also what versions of the browser you have etc, it should help me out.

I'm attaching a screenshot to show what it should look like. It was taken in Firefo.

The Campfire / A long day...

Wow i've been on the run. I went to a wedding at 8: this moring, and finished a few hours ago. Then I came back and had to go shoot a five family portrait with abou a dozen kids, and parents.

I'm feeling goof though, as everything went great. The clients were impressed, and I guess that helps make it feel all worth it. 

I'll post some pics later, and I'll also be talking about some new things I tried, and how they worked.

Hey everyone. I going to be taking an in depth look and compare of Neat Image, and Noise Ninja soon. First I want to say that if anyone has any noisy images you think might be good test subjects email them to me at prophotoshow@gmail.com so I have some more to work with (use hi res shots)

Also I wounder if any of you have an opinion on which works the best, and your favorite features.

Just thought this might be useful for me, and allow you guys to give input.

I'm gonna try pre posting on some PPS episodes, and if anyone has input on ideas, products, news, or anything else that might be worth talking about post your ideas.

I'm also always on the lookout for picks of the week (products, sites. etc)

I can't guarantee that every idea will be implemented into the showbut I want to allow everyone to share their thoughts and ideas.
