So....finally I have begun to embrace LR in all its glory. Typically I will upload a large quantity of files from an event or job to several hard drives, then onto my computer. I make selects, make my edits, convert to DNG and then transfer the DNGs and a copy of the LR Catalogue in their own folder back to the other hard drives (One Hard drive is a working drive which I pull and work off of, the others are simply archival drives--My backups, backups--). I then erase all evidence that the originals ever existed on my computer to make room for the next batch of files.
So heres the question part: Because the copy of files that I edited from on my computer no longer exists, will I be able to open the copies of the LR Catalogues from my hard drives and all previous edits will be in effect? Will I simply need to re-designate the folder location for the files?
Im thinking that re-designating a folder location would be the easiest answer in this situation, but because I havent dealt with this yet, I'm asking those that have...
