There is a great collection of talent registered here. I have spent the last few hours reading old threads. I am looking forward to being involved in your discussions.

My primary photographic interest right now is film. I have extensive digital experience but looking to differentiate the look and feel of my images from the crowd. Also I love gear. But just have to get off of the gear train. In fact just for fun here is what I have recently purchased for under $3,000.00.

3 Nikon F5 Camera Bodies (3 because I do photojournalism)
50mm f/1.4 D
28mm PC f/3.5
35mm PC f/2.8
(2) 35-70mm f/2.8 D
80-200 f/2.8 D
Epson V700 Digital Scanner.
Filters and a bunch of other accessories.
The glass is all pristine Nikkor.


I also have and shoot a 4x5 view camera and a Mamiya 645 1000s
I have two wonderful lenses for my Mamiya and less than $500.00 in the whole deal. This thing is a blast to shoot and allows me to make, what I think are, wonderful images.

Other cameras are Nikon F4 and Nikon D7000. Lots of other stuff I am sure we will talk about a some point.

Looking forward to these forums and having some images critiqued.

Very nice collection you have there!  I like to shoot some film as well and started out in the early 80's with my dad's Canon AE-1 and 50mm f/1.4.  I actually still have that camera and use it regularly!  I also have an EOS autofocus 35mm film camera that will take all the same glass that my 5D MkII uses.  Film is definitely fun and provides a unique look to digital.
