CS5 vs Lightroom?

Are they used for different things? I've one used cs4 & cs5.

Very different, both very relevant. LR is a workflow tool. Image management and batch edits. PS is for individual image detail work.

wingphoto:
what are you using them for? that will help guide a decision on what you need...maybe look at elements and lightroom as a combo...no one really gives much weigh to elements but it rocks
