Photomatix ver 3 ...

(1/2) > >>

snaps042:
As much as I enjoy using Photomatix 2, I have my doubts over version 3.

Whist it was a Beta (number eight), I downloaded it for my Mac and it caused all sorts of problems: complete white-outs on the finished image, flashes of white down the right or left hand sides of the images ... folk on the Flickr HDR group said it was a glitch that happened only with Macs and that they, too, had suffered the same problems.

I will download the finished version 3 so long as it doesn't overwrite version 2. It's often the case that if you've become used to using a good programme, the last thing you want to do is to put it at risk. The problem with downloaded software is that you can't take it back to the shop!

Meanwhile, here's a little something I shot last night as the sun was going down ...

Gavin Seim:
Nice HDR snaps. It just needs a bit of B&D, and PS effects.

As for version 3 I tried it briefly today and so far it seems to work fine. Time will tell.

snaps042:
Gav,

it has been through PS ... shadows and curves. Help yourself if you want to B&D it ...

Scary clouds...  :-\

Bellanova Foto:
Ya those clouds remind me of some scary thoughts.
