Lightroom 3 help

while using lightroom 3 when i create a copy to be edited in Photoshop the rating and flags are not kept with that file.  Is there something that I need to setup to get it to apply those ratings to newly created files or is this a flaw with lightroom 3?

It's a bug. What adobes hold up getting these bugs fixed I cannot say... sigh.

If you save the metadata (CMD+S) before opening in PS is seems to prevent it. Also in the 3.2 RC I don't believe Ive been seeing it. Though the speed issues have still not been corrected.
