I'm looking for something quick and easy that will batch process, gives control over size and placement of mark, looks professional and doesnt cost a fortune. Would prefer under $40.

If you use Lightroom 3, there's a built in watermarking function that allows you to just do a simple type watermark or apply a jpg or png to the photo on export.
You can also use mogrify (it's what I use) and it gives you alot more control over the placement and everything, including adding borders to your images along with multiple watermarks. Mogrify is donationware and I think it costs around $3-$4 if you want to just pay the minimal. Mogrify is a plug-in for lightroom and you can check it out at

Awesome! Thanks! I'm in LR2 but I looked and they have one for that too.

LR2 has very limited built in function. LR Mogrify plugin will fix that. LR3 has better functions, but I still use the LR Mogrift plugin.

Watermarks are easily removed these days, better to only give out or post low res versions until you've been paid.
