Looking through my early shots
« on: October 22, 2009, 02:06:26 AM »
So I was browsing through some of my early outdoor shots and found a few that stood out. One reason I love keeping my older shots.

Like the lightning. Simple and dramatic.

Yeah, the lightning one is a cool shot. It's hard to get lightning. I've tried and tried but can't quite hit the shutter at exactly the right time. So well done!

The other shots, honestly, are not all that exciting. The deer jumping would be great if you were closer or could have used a longer lens, but it seems too small in the frame to be effective.

As the other's have said, cool lightning, the others, well....

Not that I'm in any position to criticize, but I just find it humorous when I see a picture that looks like a it was taken with a disposable camera....with a watermark "INSERT COOL NAME Photography" placed on it.

Like me, and everyone else on this forum.....You gotta start somewhere.

The lightning was captured by setting the shutter to 3 sec exposure. I pointed in the direction the most lightning was striking and shot contentiously for over 85 shots. caught some at the beginning of the frame but they didn't turn out. For the quality I don't post my pics in 100% quality there usually reduced to around 80%. Also these range from 2-6 years ago ;)
